As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, the minimum IELTS score required for immigration to Canada depends on the specific immigration program or stream you are applying for. Canada has several immigration pathways, and each program may have different language proficiency requirements.
For example, the Express Entry system, which is a points-based immigration system used for three federal economic immigration programs (Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class), has its own language proficiency requirements. As of my last update, a minimum language proficiency score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in each of the four language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) is generally required for the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
It's important to note that immigration policies and requirements may change, so it is recommended to check the official website of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for the most up-to-date information. Additionally, specific Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) and other immigration streams may have their own language proficiency requirements.
Always refer to the official immigration authorities for the latest and most accurate information regarding language proficiency requirements for immigration to Canada.
