Objective-C is a high-level programming language that was used in Apple's macOS and iOS operating systems to develop applications. It was initially developed in the early 1980s and has since been used to build a variety of applications, including desktop and mobile apps, server-side applications, and even video games. 

Some of its uses are :

  1. Objective-C is used in macOS and iOS due to its close integration with the Cocoa and Cocoa Touch frameworks that provide a set of tools and libraries to develop user interfaces, handle events, and manage memory.
  2. It also supports object-oriented features and has classes, objects, and methods. It enables features like inheritance, dynamic binding, and polymorphism, which helps to create reusable code.
  3. Objective-C also has features like automatic reference counting, which helps manage memory usage, and the ability to mix Objective-C and C code within the same program.
  4. Objective C code can be transformed into static code analysis by certain compilers. This can help separate relevant program information from unnecessary information. Objective C is an excellent language for memory management.
