Registering your site to the search engine is called search engine submission. There are many types of search engines like google is a search engine, Bing is a search engine yahoo is also a search engine as well youtube is also a search engine which is considered as second . Then the question if there are lots f search engine then why work according to the rules and regulation of google then answer came because google has a monopoly in the market. suppose after one or two years another search engine came into the market and capture a large part of the market then you have to work according to that so don't be a parrot just focus on fundamentals. Because nothing is permanent in the market.
