The release date

After months of waiting, fans will be able to enjoy Borderlands 3 after its release on September 12, 2019. However, it will only be available exclusively through the Epic Games store for the first 6 months of its release.

What’s new

In Borderlands 3, gamers will be exposed to a massive arsenal of weaponry and gadgets that will be used to defeat the Calypso Twins in an effort to prevent them from spreading disaster across the galaxy. Gamers will have to choose between 4 Vault Hunters to shoot with. Each Vault Hunter will have unique abilities, different play styles, and different skill trees. The 4 playable characters will consist of Zane the Operative, Amara the Siren, FL4K the Beastmaster and Moze the Gunner.

Aside from the playable characters, gamers will also be exposed to brand new environments, settings, and maps to explore. Some of the settings that players can expect include crowded cities, and desolate islands that exist beyond the planet Pandora. All these new locations will give gamers countless locations to loot and explore the galaxy.

Gameplay details

Aside from new locations, there will be plenty of changes added to the gameplay as well. All weapons in Borderlands 3 will possess a secondary fire, which will make any available arsenal more powerful. The movement will also be enhanced in Borderlands 3, which will allow heroes to slide and mantle across various settings. When it comes to gameplay additions, gamers can expect Borderlands 3 raids and an optional loot instancing system.

The characters

Owing to the Mask of Mayhem trailer, plenty has been revealed about the upcoming characters of Borderlands 3. Some of the characters that you can expect to interact with include Mordecai, Tiny Tina, Maya, Lilith, Brick, Amara, Ellie, Tannis, Hammerlock, and Aurelia. Although Handsome Jack has been featured in the teaser trailer, he may not be featured in the game.
