Guide to using ESE coffee pods

There are certain things that one should keep in mind when they initially start using ese coffee pods. And today we are going to be discussing those things to help you reach your perfect cup of coffee on time every day.

ESE compatible coffee maker

First of all the things, it is important that you must own an ESE compatible coffee maker. It is like other coffee makers and can be used to make normal coffee but it needs to be ese compatible if you want to use the coffee pods and not the grounds. There are different types of coffee makers available from Lavazza, Breville, Hamilton Beach, etc.

You can use any other coffee maker that you feel comfortable with but if you want to use ese coffee pods make sure that they are compatible. And do that by checking the ESE sign on the coffee maker. It can easily be found and will confirm your requirement.

Standard developed for ESE coffee pods

The standard for the ESE coffee pods was developed by an Italian espresso making company called illy. Now, the standards are open to being used by any company that wants to use it, unlike the capsule standards that are patented by Lavazza, Nespresso, etc.

This is why pods are cheaper than the capsules but more expensive than the bulked packets of ground coffee. Each of these pods contains 7 grams of pure ground coffee to be put into the machine.

Brewing ESE coffee pods

1. So now, when you do have a coffee maker that is compatible with using ESE coffee pods, you can move ahead with the process of making the coffee.

2. You will have to change the coffee machine portafilter to one that is provided for use with ESE coffee pods.

3. Tear open the ESE pod packet. Each of these packets is in airtight containers to keep the coffee fresh. Once you open it, you should put it in the filter device.

4. Install the portafilter back into the machine and start the brewing process the way you usually do to make normal coffee.

5. Once the process starts, the espresso will b filtered out of the portafilter and right into the cup, making you, your perfect cup of coffee in a clean and in an easy way.

ESE pods provide the easiness and cleanliness

These pods are so easy to use and they do not make any mess in your kitchen or on/around your coffee machine which is very important. They can be compared to the capsules in this standard. At the same time, they provide you an opportunity to use the traditional coffee making approach.
