As a woman of child bearing age you are advised to opt for a Pap smear test the moment you touch 21 years or within 3 years of sexually becoming active. Signs of abnormal pregnancy do not point to a Pap smear test in any way. They can be termed as screening modules which detects any abnormal cells found in the cervix. The moment women undergo such tests they increase the chances of early detection with the possibility of treating any problems before it becomes too late.

When the doctor tells you that you are suffering from an abnormal pap smear, a natural reaction would be too worried. But there is nothing to lose sleep over.
