Pemayangtse Monastery

This Monastery is a Buddhist Monastery which is located near Pelling. Pelling is a part of North Eastern part of India in the state called as Sikkim. If you want to travel to this Monastery from Gangtok, it is 140 kilometers from here.

Tawang Monastery

This Monastery is in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. Tawang Monastery can boast of being the largest Monastery in India. We can also be proud of Excel for being the world's second largest Monastery. Zang Dhok Paleo Phodang

This Buddhist Monastery is situated in Kalimpong. To be more precise, the Monastery is at the top of Durpin Hill. There are two Hills in the town. One of them is Durban Hill. The hell was consecrated by the visit of the Dalai Lama in the year 1976.

Rumtek Monastery

There is another name given to Rumtek Monastery which is very interesting; that is ''Dharmachakra Centre''. This center is a Gompa which is located in the Indian state of Sikkim. If you want to reach here it is very near to Gangtok which is the capital of Sikkim.

Enchey Monastery

Enchey Monastery is exactly located in the capital of Sikkim. This Monastery was built as a small Hamlet of Gangtok. This is now been converted as this location was blessed by Lama Dhrupthob Karoo. The Enchey Monastery exact meaning is 'Solitary Monastery'.

Tashiding Monastery

It is a Monastery which belongs to Nyingma Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Its physical location is in western Sikkim. The exact location of Tashi Ding Monastery is on the top of the hill which is rising between in the Ranjit River and Rathong Chu.

Dubdi Monastery

This ministry is sometimes also called as 'Yuksom Monastery'. This Monastery is also of the Nyingma Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It is located near Yuksom. Youksom is located in the subdivision of the Western part of Sikkim.

Ralang Monastery

This Buddhist Monastery is of Kagyu Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. There is a legend associated with traveling Monastery. It was built when the fourth Chogyal returned from his pilgrimage and the 12th Karmapa the grains were thrown from his residence in Tsurphu Monastery in Tibet. The place where the grains fell, that place is eventually called Ralang Monastery. It has a spectacular collection of beautiful paintings.
