Early morning Jim Corbett jungle safari takes you across the rugged landscape of the wildlife park which has the vast number of floral species and is home to a wide variety of fauna. Watching the wild animals roaming freely in the lap of nature is sure to give you an adrenalin rush and the natural vistas of the park leave the visitors spellbound. Corbett is an ideal destination for an adventurous wildlife tour.

The three types of jungle safaris available in Corbett National Park are Jeep Safari, Canter Safari, and Elephant Safari. There is an option of Jim Corbett Safari online booking and it is advisable to book the jungle safari in advance to avoid the last minute disappointment. The safari can be booked for five different zones which are Bijrani, Jhirna, Dhikala, Dhela, and Durgadevi. These safaris are managed by the forest officials as per the guidelines of India’s forest department to ensure the equal distribution of safari vehicles in respective zones. Visitors are not allowed entry inside the designated core areas of the Corbett wildlife reserve.

Jeep Safari is one of the most popular options to explore the wildlife of the park and admire its beautiful landscape. Jeeps with a group of visitors accompanied by a trained guide are allowed in the park at fixed times during the day. Canter safaris are organized for a large group of visitors to the Corbett National Park and can seat up to 18 passengers on a particular trip. A maximum of four canters can go inside the zone at a time. An expert wildlife guide and a forest gunman accompany the visitors inside the canter. These canters are booked well in advance or same day on first come first serve basis. Elephant safari inside the Corbett is a wonderful experience as the elephant takes you across the thick forest zone where Jeeps and Canters cannot travel. It is thrilling to watch how the elephant makes his own way through the dense jungle. Only four persons are allowed on an elephant at a time.

Apart from Jim Corbett jungle safari, there are many adventure activities organized around the Corbett National Park by adventure specialists which include camping, rock climbing, rappelling, angling, and river crossing. There are several resorts in the outskirts of Corbett which offer budget and luxury accommodation to the visitors. Booking for these resorts can be made through their official websites or by visiting onlinejimcorbett.co.in. The Corbett reserve management also promotes ecotourism and organizes workshops on ecotourism in Corbett National Park to ensure that local inhabitants profit from tourism while the park remains protected. Three out of five zones (Dhikala, Bijrani, Durgadevi zones) of Jim Corbett Park remain closed from July to September during the monsoon season, while two zones (Jhirna and Dhela) remain open throughout the year.
