If you pay attention to statistics, you probably know that few women study masters’ degrees at university. This number becomes even smaller when you consider the women in positions of power. Instead of letting these numbers discourage you, let them motivate you to work harder.

How to Live Authentic Femininity in the Workplace

What does being genuinely feminine at the workplace mean? It is not that any of us sets out to deny our femininity; we just do not understand how it can help us become better at our jobs. If you do not acknowledge your femininity to the full, you will not realize your full power at the workplace.

This is not just about achieving the right balance of men and women at work. It also means embracing your womanhood fully on each day whether you are a tomboy or a womanly woman who shops at places such as https://www.3wishes.com/plus-size/. Here are some ways that you can embrace femininity at work:

Embrace the Whole Person

As women, we can understand the entire value of something. We do not usually break things into parts and turn them into an abstraction. The initial thought that women have is to understand something as a whole.

This is a good reminder of how women can play a good role in leadership positions. Because we are responsible for others, we are able to embrace a person as a whole. Instead of treating customers as numbers, we can see them as people.

Be Bold, Be Humble

Every time Mary the mother of Jesus comes up in the Bible, she is both humble and bold. For instance, when Angel Gabriel approached her, she displayed her humility and boldness. Women do not have to be timid to be acceptable. It is okay to show your boldness in the workplace but do not show pride.

For a woman in a male dominated space, boldness is necessary if you want your workmates to take you seriously. If you are always making timid suggestions, nobody will give them much thought.

Cultivate Virtue

You need to cultivate the four cardinal virtues, which are justice, prudence, self-control, and justice. With these virtues, you have the best roadmap to excellence. Although these virtues are not aimed at women in particular, we embody them in a distinctly feminine way.

Most of the time, society will only attribute a superficial understanding of these virtues to what it considers feminine. However, authentic femininity usually includes these virtues. Thus making it possible for women to complement their male counterparts and chase excellence at the workplace.

Lead with Compassion and Confidence

The best examples of perfect leadership come from Jesus, the disciples, and mothers. Jesus reshaped the human understanding of femininity and masculinity by interacting with people with compassion and confidence. Many people flocked to Jesus because he embodied these traits flawlessly and they could not resist him.

He also set new leadership standards by serving others. The disciples did the same and it would seem that the world of business is just catching up to that style of leadership. What does this kind of leadership mean for women in particular?

Because we are called to motherhood, be it spiritual or biological, we have the ability to show boundless compassion and confidence. Women tend to serve out of a higher purpose and love, which means that they can correct others with kindness and courage. This encourages others at the workplace to see the best in themselves. A woman is the ideal employee, co-worker, entrepreneur, and boss.

Conclusion

As you can see, embracing your femininity is important if you want to be the best at what you do.
