Memory Disorder Symptoms, Causes & Treatment

Mind Plus503 29-Apr-2019

These disorders can be progressive or could be a result of head injury. Most disorders are due to the effects of ageing, which remains one of the most important risk factor for neurodegenerative diseases in general. Common memory disorders include Alzheimer’s and Parkinson disorders.

However, it is important to note that memory impairments can occur during childhood/young adulthood as well, and interfere with day to day as well as academic functioning of the child.

More than 50% of the people are never diagnosed or they are diagnosed at a very later stage when the support and treatments are less effective. We believe that the key to memory loss treatment is early and accurate diagnosis so that a proper treatment plan can be devised.

At Mind plus, we believe in multi-disciplinary approach in treating memory disorders. Our team includes professionals consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists and occupational therapists.
