How to update Windows 8 apps and switch on automatic updates

Microsoft has taken the useful step of letting Metro-style apps automatically update in the background, a feature that was sorely lacking in the original release of Windows 8/RT. You can set settings to update your pc aps automatically or manually.

If you've downloaded apps from the Windows Store on your device you probably want to get the latest versions for bug fixes, new features and the like. Your apps won't necessarily update automatically, although we'll also show you how to turn that on.

Here I am telling you to update your apps automatically. Follow below steps to
change your system setting for turn on Auto updates

1.      Open Control Panel

2.      Now Open System and Security from given list

3.      After open System and Security, open Windows Update option and Change Setting.

4.      If check your Important updates dropdown. If it selected Never check for updates then you need select Install updates automatically (recommended) and press OK button.

5.      Now see your dropdown it should be selected Install updates automatically.
