How to Clean Venetian Blinds

Everything in your home will at one point or another require cleaning and you should ensure that you know how to clean the window coverings too, like the Stafford venetian blinds. There are a few steps that you are going to want to do to ensure that they are fully clean, including the times when cleaning is going to be frequent:

1.    Dust them lightly with one of the feather dusters after ensuring that all curtains and other items are out of the way
2.    Wipe down each of the slats to get rid of any debris that is visible with a dry cloth
3.    Apply a cleaning agent that can help with anti-static
There are other methods of cleaning that you should also consider, which can be much faster and easier. The steps include, but this cleaning method shouldn’t be used for the wooden materials:

•    Detaching all of the Lichfield venetian blinds from the fixings
•    Fill up the bathtub with warm water and some detergent powder, which can be fragranced to give the room a fresh smell
•    Submerge them all while wiping them down quickly
•    Dry over the shower railing or on your washing line if the day is nice outside

Once they have dried completely, then you can take them back into the house and install them back on the windows. If you have wooden ones, then these are the steps that you are going to want to follow to get the best results when undertaking this process such as:

•    Use a feather duster to get between the slats to get rid of the extra dust and any debris
•    Use a good wood cleaning spray and a soft cotton based cloth and run it over each of the slats
•    Give them a covering of non-waxed furniture polish to keep them shining
Make sure that no matter what type you are using in your home that you know how they should be cleaning, especially the wooden ones since they require special care.

There is so much that one would need to think of when it comes to the Stafford venetian blinds and that includes how to clean them. Depending on the type and material you would simply need to wipe them down without removing them and use the right cleaning agent. However, if you want a more in-depth cleaning you can remove the synthetic ones from the window and place them in some detergent and a bath of warm water.
