Buffett, being the most successful investor in the world,
is also a business magnate and a philanthropist, valued at $68.2 billion. He is
the largest shareholder and the CEO of Berkshire Hathway, the American
multinational conglomerate holding company. Buffett, at the third richest
person in the world, is often referred to as the “Wizard of Omaha” or “Oracle
of Omaha,” or the “Sage of Omaha,”and is noted for his commitment of value
investing and for his personal carefulness despite his greatwealth.
4. Jeff Bezos
On the Fourth place, Bezos, is the founder chairman and
the largest shareholder of the online shopping giant Amazon. He is an American
technology entrepreneur and investor, valuing at $63.1 billion. Bezos’ other
business interests include newspapers and aerospace. He is the founder and
owner of the privately-funded aerospace developer and manufacturer Blue Origin.
The company was founded in the year 2000, and has conducted test flights to
space beginning in 2015. It also has plans for commercial suborbital human
spaceflight beginning in 2018. In 2013, he also acquired the Washington Post
newspaper.
5. Charles Koch
Charles Koch is the fifth richest person in the world. He
is an American businessman, political donor and philanthropist, who is found to
be valued at $55.2 billion. He is co-owner, chairman of the board, and chief
executive officer of Koch Industries, also famous for its mention in a popular
American TV show The Newsroom. He owns 42% of the shares of the conglomerate.
6. David Koch
Brother of Charles Koch, David Koch is the sixth richest
person in the world. At Koch Industries, he is the Executive Vice President,
valued at equal as his brother at $55.2 billion. David also owns 42% of the
conglomerate that the brother inherited from their father and expanded.
7. Carlos Slim
Slim, a Mexican business magnate, investor, and a
philanthropist is the seventh richest person in the world, who has worth of
$51.4 billion. Slim is also called the “Warren Buffett of Mexico”. Through his
conglomerate, Grupo Carso, he has derived his fortune from his large holdings
in a significant number of Mexican companies.
8. Mark Zuckerberg
Zuckerberg, is the eight richest person in the world. He
is the co-founder and CEO of Facebook, valued at $49.7 billion. Internet
entrepreneur, American programmer, and a philanthropist. He founded Facebook
from his college dorm room in Harvard. The website later expanded rapidly with
one billion users signing up by 2012.
9. Larry Ellison
American businessman Larry Ellison is co-founder of
Oracle Corporation and was CEO until September 2014. He is currently at the
ninth place in the richest person’s list in the world, being valued at $43.4
billion. At present, he is the executive chairman and chief technology officer
of Oracle. Ellison has signed The Giving Pledge and has donated up to 1% of his

10. Ingvar Kamprad
Ingvar Kamprad, The Swedish business magnate and founder
of the famous IKEA, is positioned as the tenth richest person in the world at
$42.5 billion. The Swedish retail company is the largest furniture selling
company, as in 2008. Kamprad presently lives in Sweden.
