# ISRO RESISTS CHANDRAYAAN-2 COLLISION WITH NASA'S LRO

As reported posted by the Indian [Space Research](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/story/2228/mysterious-space-research-nasa-has-never-revealed) [Organization](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/100623/what-is-the-role-of-the-world-health-organization-in-global-health) on the maximum collision of the satellites of ISRO & NASA. The Chandrayaan-2 Lunar Orbiter had recently completed a Collision Avoidance Manoeuvre (CAM) which is used to reduce the possibility of travelling too near to NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO). Both lunar orbiters approach each other near the Lunar poles because they are studying the Moon from a Polar orbit. The satellites are flying in a manner that nearly covers both the [north and south](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/43101/david-walker-effectively-compared-the-state-of-the-black-person-in-both-the-north-and-south-what-were-the) poles of the moon , which provide complete information on the moon .In this [current scenario](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/126146/the-current-scenario-of-cryptocurrency-exchange-platforms), estimations by ISRO and NASA showed that the radial operation between the spacecraft would be less than 100m and the closest approach distance would be 3 km at a certain period.

The manoeuvre was set to take place on October 18, 2021.It was designed that provide a substantial & adequate radial separation between two spacecraft in their next closest approach. At 8.22 p.m., the CAM was [officially launched](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/34730/which-state-government-has-officially-launched-parivartan-scheme-cleanliness-pollution-free-drive).

It was determined that there will be no future near conjunctions with LRO after orbit [determination](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/88547/trump-s-meet-with-aides-ends-without-final-determination) using post-manoeuvre tracking data.
