# Twitter Could Try New Emoticons Identical to Facebook!

Twitter could be combining some unique emojis to expand its previously star-shaped, currently heart-shaped Like button, as per the [application](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12824/calculator-application-in-android) researcher Jane Manchun Wong. The assets Wong attained — which have been certain [predictions](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/story/1779/7-of-the-weirdest-predictions-for-the-end-of-the-world) of planned characteristics in the past — show “**cheer**,” “**hmm**,” “**sad**,” & “**haha**” emoji responses, though some currently only possess a [placeholder](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/1519/how-do-i-remove-a-listbox-new-item-placeholder) emoji.

Facebook has had a related set of effects since 2016. But Wong’s leak reveals that Twitter could be practicing a somewhat distinctive path when it appears to which states it desires users to display: while it has smiling and sad [expressions](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/33876/what-is-the-syntax-for-lambda-expressions-in-vb-dot-net) in familiar with Facebook, [Twitter may similarly include](https://www.mindstick.com/news/412/twitter-to-purchase-social-audio-app-clubhouse-for-4-billion) a makes-you-think and applause option. Twitter doesn’t appear to possess the “**angry**” [expression that Facebook has](https://www.mindstick.com/news/463/vanishing-pen-reaction-emojis-will-make-your-zoom-meetings-interesting-now), but that may be because anger on Twitter is previously managed by the reply and quote tweet options.

We’ve witnessed another look at these features when Twitter urged users about the extension of emoji responses in a poll a few months ago. In reply to a request for comment, Twitter notified us of the related thing it did the previous time: that it is “***constantly examining further methods for people to reveal themselves in discussions.***”

Twitter appears to be involved with distinct characteristics recently: we’ve discovered reports of a [premium subscription](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/109986/how-to-cancel-a-linkedin-premium-subscription) assistance, and we’ve seen the rollout of more [comprehensive](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/23461/a-comprehensive-guide-on-luggage-bags-and-cases) descriptions, its audio-based Spaces characteristic, and analyses of a tip jar characteristic. The company even began back up its confirmation details (before pausing it over just a week later). Possibly the only thing Twitter isn’t operating on is a theme park to deal with Florida’s de-platforming cases, but considering the disparate [acquisitions](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/30422/what-is-a-mergers-and-acquisitions) it’s continued making of late, it’s too fresh to neglect the opportunity.
