# For a few Users, Microsoft has released a 64-bit Version of OneDrive for Windows 10

In a statement mailed in its admin hub, the [software](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/311636/best-freelancing-websites-to-get-software-development-services) giant illustrated that [OneDrive](https://www.mindstick.com/news/663/know-about-android-debug-bridge-adb) will be silently revised to the modern 64-bit edition on users' policies shortly, saying:

Although Microsoft initially disclosed a 64-bit version of Windows behind in 2003 up to recently users could only permit a 32-bit edition of OneDrive to conserve their lists, pictures, & different documents. The difficulty with operating 32-bit software on a 64-bit edition of Windows 10 is that 32-bit programs can only permit 4GB of [system memory](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/114726/how-do-you-troubleshoot-frequent-application-errors-related-to-insufficient-system-memory) even on systems with higher quantities of RAM.
