# Adobe Flash Player to be Discarded Soon - Microsoft

Microsoft will begin eliminating Adobe Flash from [Windows 10](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10) this summer. Beginning in July, the Windows 10 “**Update for Removal of Adobe Flash Player,**” which will permanently eliminate Flash as a [component](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12262/learn-how-to-make-a-component-in-magento-2) of the [operating system](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/229069/operating-system-development), will be needed. Updating to Windows 10 edition 21H1, anticipated to commence shaking out this month, will also reduce the software.

Now it’s eliminating the Flash Player that appears wrapped with Windows.
