# Instagram Rolls Out Repost, Interactive Map, and Friend Tab to Boost Engagement

[Instagram](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4679/instagram-rolls-out-new-creator-tools-including-post-level-demographics-and-viewer-insights) is launching three new features namely Repost, [Interactive](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/38931/who-has-won-the-2016-fifa-interactive-world-cup-fiwc) Map, and Friend Tab. These are the features that will aid further user [communication](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/126321/5-fails-and-fixes-of-the-office-communication) and amounts of time on the platforms by boosting [content sharing](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/106033/what-are-the-advantages-of-using-twitter-fleets-for-temporary-content-sharing), discovery, and communication with close individuals. The primary dimension is to generate more total engagement on the platform.

## Highlights:

- The Repost feature allows users to share public [Reels](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4380/instagram-may-launch-reels-as-a-separate-app) and photos directly to their Feed.

- These features simplify content discovery and friend interaction.

Repost tool enables the reposting of Reels and pictures in a personal Feed very quickly that are [considered as](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/156093/what-is-considered-as-more-significant-creating-content-or-building-backlinks) being posted publicly. This will ease sharing something that will attract the interest of the users in an attempt to promote [entertainment](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/135022/tencent-music-entertainment) across the platform so that sharing becomes easier.

Interactive Map presents the geographic view of posts and Stories of friends and publicly created posts. It enables its user to view things according to the location and get to see what is going on in the locality or area. This capability should be targeted at attracting more users through exploration of content through the location.

The [Friend Tab](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4449/facebook-launches-friends-tab-to-view-all-friend-posts-in-one-place) constitutes one distinct segment of updates on individuals that put their labels as Close Friends. It overdoses them with their Stories and Feed posts and in the process, it would be simpler to stay in touch with significant contacts. This aspect is given priority in order to be able to have more frequent interactions and a better connection with the close ones.
