# What Is Genie 3, Google's New Interactive 3D AI Model?

Genie 3 is a new [AI model](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/336277/generative-ai-vs-other-types-of-ai-models) developed by [Google DeepMind](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4580/google-deepmind-builds-new-ai-model-for-predicting-cyclones). This [generative AI](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/story/4525/10-benefits-of-generative-ai) generates completely interactive 3D scenes straight through text inputs. Through simple descriptions, users are able to create elements and manage them in these virtual worlds.

This interactive AI works with the processing of 2D video data of large amounts. It extracted rules of motion and object interaction, using this data. When provided a text prompt, Genie 3 produces a leapfrog 3D simulation, not a frozen image. That enables the created worlds to be interactive with the user.

The main innovation of Genie 3 is the direct interaction of the user. This interactive AI differs from past [generative models](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/337136/how-can-generative-models-utilized-for-applications-such-as-art-music-and-design) that created inert content; this one can be managed in real-time. In the user-created world, characters are directed to do things such as walk, jump by the user. This forms a manageable experience on the part of the creation of the AI.

Genie 3 is still a research demonstration. Google has had no announcement as to any public launch or products. The model is demonstrating the possibilities of the future interactive [Artificial Intelligence](https://www.mindstick.com/services/artificial-intelligence) in world generation. It is an important milestone towards the creation of manipulable virtual spaces on the basis of text.
