# WhatsApp Introduces New Playback Rates for Voice Messages

WhatsApp has rolled out a modern update to their beta users on Android devices. It’s accessible on the trending WhatsApp beta edition 2.21.9.4 for Android users but the prior edition 2.21.9.3 too promotes it.

WhatsApp beta users on Android will be eligible to utilize this modern characteristic. WhatsApp beta users who are components of the test will discover the [playback velocity](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/110070/how-to-fix-youtube-playback-velocity-now-not-operating) character in a voice message. There are 3 playback speeds of 1x, 1.5x, and 2x. The vocal message will play as it is but as you click on the icon the speed will improvise. So the initial click will be to improve the speed by 1x, the additional one by 1.5x, and the 3rd one by 2x. There’s no choice for a stagnant playback speed for voice messages.
