# WhatsApp Testing Profile Photo Import from Facebook, Instagram

[WhatsApp](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4467/from-chats-to-channels-a-quick-look-at-whatsapp-s-latest-features) has been developing a new feature in which users will be able to import their profile photos directly on WhatsApp by doing it on [Facebook](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/304647/facebook-marketing-10-pros-for-businesses) or [Instagram](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/305304/boost-your-instagram-reach-with-ai-tools-like-chatgpt). This feature, as one recent [Android beta](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4648/whatsapp-introduces-status-ads-and-promoted-channels-in-new-android-beta-report) update shows, would allow an easy transfer of profile photos throughout the Meta-universe. The user would pick and ascertain the picture to import.

The import process is carried out in privacy. The user makes a conscious choice and indeed confirms the application of the photo on WhatsApp. The fact that the imported profile picture on WhatsApp remains unseen to others is within the confines of the privacy setting of WhatsApp.
