# Grammarly Acquires Superhuman to Expand AI Productivity Tools

Grammarly, the popular [**AI**](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/305083/10-content-writing-trends-that-will-work-in-2025) writing assistant, has acquired Superhuman, a premium email platform known for speed and efficiency, marking a strategic expansion into AI-powered [productivity tools](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/114194/how-are-workplace-trends-changing-with-remote-work-and-ai-driven-productivity-tools).

The acquisition, confirmed by both companies, comes as Grammarly positions itself as more than a grammar tool. It is evolving into a full-fledged AI productivity suite, aiming to embed [intelligent agents](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/86212/what-do-you-understand-by-intelligent-agents-in-context-of-ai) across communication and workflow tools. Financial details were not disclosed, but Superhuman, last valued at $825 million, brings in about $35 million in annual revenue.

Grammarly CEO Shishir Mehrotra called email “the dominant communication tool of work” and praised Superhuman as a clear [**innovator**](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4614/elon-musk-says-neuralink-can-restore-people-s-hearing-even-in-total-loss) in the space.

***Superhuman Will Stay Independent for Now***

While Superhuman will continue to operate as a separate product, its entire team, including CEO Rahul Vohra, will join Grammarly. The company plans to integrate its AI agents, used for tone, clarity, and [idea generation](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/104943/how-to-use-quora-for-idea-generation), into Superhuman’s email experience.

According to Grammarly, users spend nearly three hours a day in email. AI agents could [**automate tasks**](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4595/perplexity-now-lets-you-schedule-tasks-on-whatsapp-know-how) like replying, scheduling meetings, and summarizing long threads, freeing up users for more strategic work.

***Competing in a Crowded Field***

This acquisition follows Grammarly’s recent $1 billion financing round led by General Catalyst and its earlier purchase of Coda, a document and productivity platform. These moves signal Grammarly’s ambition to compete with [Google Workspace](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4183/india-overtakes-the-us-to-have-the-largest-google-workspace-users-worldwide), [Microsoft 365](https://www.mindstick.com/news/3347/microsoft-releases-bing-chat-enterprise-and-microsoft-365-copilot-pricing-information), and other enterprise platforms. Grammarly’s AI already reaches over 500,000 applications. Integrating Superhuman helps bring deeper functionality to where professionals work the most: their inboxes.

***A look into the future?***

Grammarly and Superhuman both envision a future where AI does more than suggest edits, it actively manages your digital life. With this acquisition, Grammarly takes a major step toward building an all-in-one productivity platform powered by smart, responsive AI agents.

The move signals a shift in how we approach daily work: less manual effort, more strategic thinking. As AI continues to blend into everyday tasks, Grammarly aims to be at the forefront of that [transformation](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/86753/discuss-the-spiritual-transformation-of-premananda-govind-sharma-ji), making work faster, smarter, and more [**intuitive**](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4609/sam-altman-predicts-future-computers-will-be-more-personal-and-context-aware)**.**

With Superhuman on board, Grammarly isn’t just correcting your writing anymore-it’s rewriting the way you work.
