# Microsoft Tests AI Agents in Windows 11, Adds Recall Snapshot Sharing in Europe

[Microsoft](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4463/microsoft-copilot-update-9-essential-ai-features-you-shouldn-t-miss) is continuing to roll out its AI combinations in [Windows 11](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2041/the-windows-11-2022-update-is-here-your-in-depth-look-at-what-s-new-and-newsworthy) with two major developments. The company is currently experimenting on proactive Copilot agents which can automate advanced procedures. At the same time, it is also introducing its AI-powered Recall feature, which allows users in the [European Union](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/81325/european-union-loses-to-china) to share snapshots with users in the EU.

## Highlights:

- Microsoft begins testing advanced, proactive Copilot agents within Windows 11.
- These AI agents can autonomously [handle complex](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/160789/how-to-handle-complex-data-binding-scenarios-in-knockout-js), multi-step tasks for users.
- The Recall feature, capturing periodic snapshots, launches in the European Union.
- European Recall includes snapshot sharing [functionality](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/136/using-watermark-functionality-in-textbox-by-jquery) previously withheld.
- Microsoft emphasizes privacy safeguards and [user control](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/294/problem-in-access-the-control-inside-the-user-control) for Recall data.

The Copilot agents can be seen as a huge advancement in the context of the current reactive [chatbot](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4288/meta-demands-immediate-fix-for-ai-chatbot-confusion-over-us-president-s-name). These [Copilot](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4277/microsoft-expands-copilot-features-for-ai-pcs-powered-by-snapdragon) agents, designed to work proactively, will be able to draw on context, and implement complex processes, such as trip-planning, or complex workflows, without [user request](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/161059/how-to-get-user-metadata-from-user-request-on-api), directly in the OS. The testing should not just hone the reliability and utility of the agents, however, but nudge Windows closer to a more anticipatory computing paradigm, with the beta push towards a more proactive mode.

The introduction of Recall also signified the [implementation](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/33764/how-to-implementation-of-class-in-c-sharp) of snapshot facilities and the possibility of sharing particular occasions to the European users. Microsoft introduced more privacy requirements, such as processing data locally and asking users directly about their consent, and thus the EU regulators were satisfied. With this feature, any user can retrace visual steps and collaborate on previous screen states and it means a big development of the AI tool since its first limited introduction.

These concurrent trends highlight the eager approach Microsoft has undertaken in terms of ensuring that advanced AI is the focal point of Windows. The active Copilot representatives strive to transform users' experience in its very basis, and the European introduction of Recall indicates its adherence to worldwide availability and compliance. These Copilot agents and Recall will be instrumental in determining the next era of the Windows experience because they have proven successful.
