# Forbes: World's Billionaires List 2021

Forbes' annual world's billionaires list involves a record-breaking 2,755 billionaires from all around the world, with Amazon's n owner Jeff Bezos crowning it for the fourth [straight year](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/38797/which-german-automaker-had-retained-the-top-spot-for-the-eleventh-straight-year-since-2005-in-terms-of-annual-sales-figures-of-luxury-cars), [as mentioned](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/38307/bring-out-the-significance-of-the-terms-sovereign-democratic-republic-as-mentioned-in-the-preamble) by the renowned Media company Forbes.

The levels of the ultra-wealthy are broadening after a year in which the [coronavirus pandemic](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/81346/coronavirus-pandemic-has-seen-rise-in-cyber-attacks) upended earth economies and endangered the livelihoods of people around the world.

This year's billionaires are worth a collective $13.1 trillion (roughly Rs. 9,70,22,800 crores), up from $8 trillion (roughly Rs. 5,92,50,560 crores) last year, Forbes said.

"The very, very rich got very, very richer," stated [Forbes](https://www.forbes.com/)' Chief Content Officer Randall Lane.

Tesla Chief Executive [Elon Musk](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elon_Musk) hopped into second place on the list, up from 31st last year.

Bernard Arnault, chief executive of excess goods corporation LVMH, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Facebook Chief Executive [Mark Zuckerberg](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Zuckerberg) round out the prime five of the earth's [richest billionaires](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/story/3806/top-richest-billionaires-in-food-and-beverages-industry).
