# Microsoft Mocks Apple for the Second Time!

It appears that [if Microsoft](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95971/how-can-i-fix-it-if-microsoft-edge-is-not-working)’s steps to poke fun at Apple aren’t going to put a full stop. Initially, Microsoft took off after the MacBook and its ‘**[limitations](https://www.mindstick.com/interview/121/what-are-the-benefits-and-limitations-of-using-hidden-fields)**’ comparing it with the Surface series of appliances. Now, Microsoft has loaded its guns on the iPad Pro.

The commercials seize a dig at the iPad Pro for existing just a “**tablet**” whereas grades Surface Pro 7 as a full-featured computer as generously as a tablet.

It’s a brief ad but [Microsoft](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft) has [organized](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/story/4668/regions-rivers-where-kumbha-mela-is-organized) to hit at the ‘**pain**’ senses of the iPad Pro relatively clean. For example, it explains that the iPad Pro won't have a built-in kickstand whereas the Surface reaches with it. With the iPad Pro, you have to get a [Magic Keyboard](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/49969/do-the-function-keys-on-a-magic-keyboard-2-work-when-connected-to-a-macbook-pro-with-touch-bar) which occurs on the huger side. The ad additionally demands the evidence that connectivity stays a problem on the iPad Pro retaining just a type-C port whereas the Surface Pro 7 offers numerous choices.

And then of course there’s the cost. The Surface Pro price — in the US — starts at $880 therefore, the iPad Pro has a starting price of $1,348. This as per the ad is the ‘**clincher**’ in favor of the Surface Pro.

Recently, Microsoft carried a jab at Apple’s MacBook indirectly in a quick ad posted on Twitter. Broadcasted on Twitter by the Microsoft India account, the brief ad isn't taking the name [Apple](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Inc.) or MacBook. Regardless, it distinguishes Surface from another laptop called ‘**BackBook**’.

The advertisement has [two major](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/34821/today-in-the-united-states-government-there-are-two-major-political-parties-the-republicans-are-one-of-the-parties-who-is-the-other-party) laptops — Surface Pro [as well as](https://www.mindstick.com/interview/2481/can-you-write-a-java-class-that-could-be-used-both-as-an-applet-as-well-as-an-application) ‘**BackBook**’ — next to each other. The ad is all about showing Surface Pro’s [usability](https://www.mindstick.com/interview/886/are-there-usability-issues-with-ajax) since it can be separated from the keyboard and can ‘**stretch**’ and ‘**sway**’. Since it’s a hybrid 2-in-1 appliance, Surface Pro can be utilized in a tablet manner as well and can be severed. The MacBook — or relatively ‘**BackBook**’ — doesn’t do any of that. Microsoft is indicating through the ad that you must ‘**Upgrade to Surface**’.
