# Nokia brings a deal with AT&T besides losing a contract with Ericsson

-Nokia signed a fiber deal with telecom giant AT@T after losing a great network [contract](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/212/wcf-contracts) to Ericsson.

-Nokia is expecting new growth in fiber. Although, Nokia has not disclosed the [financial](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13120/an-expert-financial-advice-will-improve-your-finances) value of new [five year](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/32009/who-gave-the-final-approval-to-the-draft-of-five-year-plan) fiber deal but called it a milestone.

-This deal will provide broadband access to millions of users across US.

-No doubt, in July there was a 32% decline in the profit of Nokia but CEO Pekka Lundmark said that sales would [increase](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12959/are-you-struggling-to-increase-the-profit-of-your-liquor-store) significantly in the [second half](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/50143/what-challanges-did-the-us-face-in-the-second-half-of-the-19th-century) of the year.

-Nokia also, announced in June about the [acquisition](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2246/following-elon-musk-s-acquisition-gm-suspends-its-twitter-advertising) of US optical [networking](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/126171/4-ways-to-improve-your-business-networking-skills) firm ‘Infinera’ in order to cope with the increasing [investments](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2678/5g-services-in-india-to-attract-rs-1-5-lakh-crore-in-investments-in-2023) in [data centers](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4042/alphabet-invests-3-3b-in-two-south-carolina-data-centers) driven by the [artificial intelligence](https://www.mindstick.com/services/artificial-intelligence).
