# Apple will use OLED display on all upcoming iPhones from 2025

The [tech](https://www.mindstick.com/services/technologies) giant apple has decided to completely shift from LED (Light-emitting diode) display to OLED (Organic light-emitting diode) display which will adversely affect the [supply chain](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/23184/how-blockchain-is-helping-supply-chain-management) of Japan’s famous [companies](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/85554/why-must-companies-have-a-profile-page-on-mindstick) Sharp Corp and Japan Display who had been supplying the LED displays to apple for years. A report says that Apple has [already](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/88453/the-hidden-ways-ai-is-already-controlling-your-daily-life) started placing orders for OLED display for its [upcoming](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/43853/making-the-most-of-the-upcoming-earnings) models from BOE [Technology](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13005/the-functional-aspects-of-laser-technology) in China and LG Display in [South Korea](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4087/south-korea-s-morphing-wheel-could-revolutionize-robotics). As Sharp Corp and Japan Display are not in mass [production](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/story/1489/the-countries-that-dominate-world-fossil-fuel-production) of OLED based panels so, these companies will no longer be in handset [business](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12213/how-to-start-a-jewellery-making-business-online-business-ideas) with apple. However, these two companies refused to make any [comments](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2328/deadline-for-comments-on-the-draught-indian-telecommunication-bill-is-extended-by-the-dot) on this report. Apple used OLED based displays first time in iPhone X in 2017.
