# All Windows Users Are At High Risk, Says Indian Government, What To Do?

Windows Users in India received currently a high-risk warning from the Government of India which issued a warning to **Windows 11 and Windows 10 users** on two [security vulnerabilities](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/102608/can-you-detail-the-functions-of-google-s-project-zero-for-discovering-security-vulnerabilities) in the [operating system](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/229069/operating-system-development). This [news](https://www.mindstick.com/developersection/news) article will guide you through the recent Windows security loophole and the ways to get out of this.

The news is related to the Windows users who are at high risk and received the notice from the *Ministry of [Electronics and Information](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/45175/who-is-the-current-minister-of-law-and-justice-and-minister-of-electronics-and-information-technology-ministry-of-india) Technology (MeitY)* to make sure their Windows is running properly specifically for Windows 11 and Windows 10 users. Further, the institution said that exploiting these vulnerabilities could help an attacker gain 'enhanced privileges' on the aimed system.

In an advisory report, the [cybersecurity agency](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/82562/russian-involvement-let-s-italy-form-cybersecurity-agency) shared the details about this information "These vulnerabilities exist in [Windows-based systems](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/326090/the-history-of-windows-operating-system) supporting Virtualization Based Security (VBS) and Windows Backup. An attacker with appropriate privileges could exploit these vulnerabilities to reintroduce previously mitigated issues or bypass VBS protection,"

"Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to gain elevated privileges on the targeted system," The report includes the statement.

The two vulnerabilities that have been introduced by the [security agency](https://www.meity.gov.in/) have a vast impact on various servers and networks of Microsoft Windows users the servers that have been affected by the vulnerabilities are listed below-
