# Google will soon bring Gemini Nano to Chrome desktop

- Google has incorporated [**Gemini**](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/303809/what-is-google-gemini) **Nano** into Chrome, and this has changed **web AI** for developers and users.

- Chrome’s **in-built AI** enables [product development](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12220/software-product-development-comparative-buisness-strategies-between-america-india) to be achieved quicker and costs lowered, also enhancing the web experience.

Google's latest initiative is aimed at transforming the web design fundamentals as well as the approach that users take towards surfing the internet.

Through its innovative step to incorporate **Gemini Nano** (its powerful and attribute-rich large [language model](https://www.mindstick.com/interview/34471/what-is-a-large-language-model-llm)) into Chrome desktop browsers, Google is at a juncture that is aimed at changing the way [web developers](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/11763/five-features-of-top-python-frameworks-for-web-developers-in-2018-that-make-everyone-love-it) can tap into AI on the web.

**Leveraging Developers with** [**AI Capabilities**](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/302478/artificial-intelligence-exploring-the-power-and-potential-of-ai)

Nano Gemini integrating with the development of Chrome has a new beginning for the developers, who don’t have to struggle to build and sustain their [AI models](https://www.mindstick.com/news/3895/microsoft-creates-new-ai-model-to-compete-with-google-openai) anymore.

Through the way Chrome manages the hard work, developers have the opportunity to construct intriguing functions. The execution of difficult activities such as the webpage summary, text translation, and content production needs not be manual and can be accomplished more conveniently. This means there are effective cycles of development that are fast and reduce programming costs.

The **integration of Gemini Nano** translates into web users having improved working with the web. [Implementation](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/33764/how-to-implementation-of-class-in-c-sharp) of on-device AI functionalities helps to provide quicker reactions, broader access to AI features, and even the opportunity for contactless AI utilization.

On the other hand, Chrome insists on [user privacy](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/114479/what-challenges-do-tech-companies-face-in-protecting-user-privacy-amid-digital-transformation) as much as on providing intelligent, personalized, and secure experiences to users by processing the collected data alone.

## Google’s Vision of the AI-ready Web

Google's investment into **WebGL support** and **WASM extension** in [Chrome browser](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/102504/can-you-detail-the-functions-of-google-chrome-browser) is certainly the first step towards launching Gemini designs that will run smoothly on different sets of hardware.

Developers achieve faster and easier access to **AI with APIs** for explicit tasks such as translation, summarization, and categorization. In parallel, Google will roll out a **new in-app extension** that will allow developers to experiment with exploratory APIs.

Being Chrome browser the masterpiece of web AI, Google is also working with other browser vendors to lead the way to a web ecosystem with similar features. Such collaborative efforts may signal the dawn of a new era in the development of AI-based users’ web experiences bringing more life into the [digital world](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/99230/how-digital-world-washed-out-gender-discrimination-from-society).
