This function is extremely relevant in any group space where it is impossible to maintain order over the flow of the messages due to the large volume of the messages transmitted. A post pin allows a text, picture, video, or GIF to be long-pressed and stuck at the top of the screen to brighten up conversations. Moreover, WhatsApp added an option to personalize where the user can specify a time a message will remain pinned.
