[**Instagram**](https://www.mindstick.com/category/article/instagram) has finally rolled out the ability to download Reels posted by public accounts globally. This feature was initially introduced in the US earlier this year. With this update, users [worldwide](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/99997/what-is-worldwide-developers-conference-held-by-apple) can now download Reels and save them directly to their camera roll. Downloaded Reels will include a [**watermark**](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/136/using-watermark-functionality-in-textbox-by-jquery) displaying the Instagram handle of the creator.

## Saving Reels from Public Accounts

To download Reels from public accounts, users can follow these steps:

Open the Reel you want to download.

Tap the share icon (**paper airplane icon**).

Select the "**Download**" option.

The downloaded Reel will be saved to the user's camera roll.

Tap Sharing and Remixes.

Toggle off the "**Downloading your Reels**" option.

Users can download their own Reels without a watermark from saved drafts. Users can still save Reels for viewing later even if the download feature is disabled. The download feature may take some time to roll out to all users.
