# Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI gets fired who was the head of the ChatGPT maker team.

Altman, who co-founded OpenAI in 2015, was fired last week after the company's board lost confidence in his ability to lead. Altman will be joined at Microsoft by **Greg Brockman**, who also quit OpenAI last week.
