It helps in checking out general connection factors like maximum download and maximum download and upload speeds and latency on video. Streaming can be done at various resolutions along with measurement of respective load times and buffering on the **[app](https://www.mindstick.com/news/339/google-check-your-respiratory-rate-via-phone).**

Usually, we face several problems while [online video](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/84601/what-is-the-most-played-online-video-game) steaming due to which work quality gets hampered or it's ended up with a [poor quality](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/50930/how-to-fix-iphone-7-plus-speaker-problems-on-static-noise-poor-quality-sound-no-sound) video with worst feedbacks. For eliminating the issues, Ookla has introduced the speed checker app.

Also, note that if despite [internet speed](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13052/3-valuable-tips-for-increasing-the-internet-speed) fasten enough, as a supplement support the app will link to **Downdetector** to check if that particular service is associated with any issues or not.

For now, the app can be used by [iPhone users](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/110685/how-to-proportion-area-on-google-maps-with-iphone-users-with-out-app-download) only but soon the app will be available on other platforms also. The video streaming benchmark of Speedtest is available with the latest iOS update which is incorporated with a slightly redesigned interface.
