# Samsung Launches Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a 7.6-inch main display and a 6.2-inch cover display. Both displays are made with Samsung's new Eco² AMOLED [technology](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13005/the-functional-aspects-of-laser-technology), which is said to be more durable and energy-efficient than [previous generations](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/99897/what-are-the-key-features-and-advantages-of-5g-technology-compared-to-previous-generations). The Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a 6.7-inch main display and a 1.9-inch cover display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and has 8GB of RAM. It also has a 10MP selfie camera on the cover display and a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP wide-angle camera on the rear.

Both devices run Android 13 and have a 4,400mAh battery. They are also water-resistant to IP68 standards.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be available for pre-order starting today. They will go on sale on August 11th. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will start at $1,799, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will start at $999.
