# Apple MacBook Air with OLED Display to Launch in Early 2024, Reportedly

OLED display panels for MacBooks have been rumoured for a time. A new analysis predicts that might happen soon. The next MacBook Air will reportedly employ "tandem stack" OLED technology, which is a type of OLED technology that improves display life span, battery efficiency, and brightness, according to a 9to5 Mac report. Nonetheless, it is said that mini-LED panels will continue to be used in MacBook Pro models for the foreseeable future.

Mini-LED is an [alternative](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/2324/what-is-the-alternative-to-the-mvc) to OLED, which is superior in certain areas and less effective in others. Many claims that because OLED displays have far deeper black depths than mini-[LED screens](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/111511/what-s-the-difference-between-oled-and-led-screens), they are [referred to as](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/39930/at-the-turn-of-the-century-widespread-panic-occurred-that-at-midnight-all-computers-would-reset-to-zero-and-life-as-we-knew-it-would-cease-to-exist-what-was-this-doomsday-theory-commonly-referred-to-as) them. Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst, also predicted that the firm will introduce OLED MacBook models "before the end of 2024."

According to reports, Apple is also working on new 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air models that will run on the next Apple M3 processor. The new gadgets are anticipated to be unveiled in June at the 2024 Global Developers Conference, but the company has not yet announced anything.
