# Microsoft will discontinue Windows 10 download sales on January 31st

Microsoft will cease selling Windows 10 Home and Pro downloads at the end of this month. Before Microsoft officially discontinues Windows 10 on October 14, 2025, the licence keys for Windows 10 contained in downloads are being removed over the course of two years.

**Microsoft** just updated the Windows 10 product pages to indicate that sales would expire on January 31. However, it is unclear how the corporation will handle identical downloads and licence keys from Amazon and other vendors. We inquired as to Microsoft's stance on third-party retailers selling Windows 10 licence keys and downloads, but the company merely stated that it intended to cease selling Windows 10 itself.

This website will sell Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro until January 31, 2023. **Microsoft** recommends Windows 11, and it states that Windows 10 will continue to be maintained until October 2025, when [production](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/story/1489/the-countries-that-dominate-world-fossil-fuel-production) will cease.
