The music and podcast streaming service Spotify has started pushing out support for the revamped media player in Android 13 for compatible devices via a stable update through the [Google Play store](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1612/donald-trump-s-truth-social-application-would-be-available-in-the-google-play-store-last-may). The **[lock screen](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/99793/how-can-you-customize-the-appearance-and-behavior-of-the-lock-screen-on-an-iphone) and [notification](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/205/property-notification-in-c-sharp) menu of the media player for Android devices have been redesigned in Android 13.**

The newest Android 13 media player has improved the location of the seek bar for simpler song control, revamped icons, and a taller frame for album image previews. In August of this year, Google announced the release of Android 13.

This new iteration of Google's [operating system](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/229069/operating-system-development) includes a redesigned media player that is visible on the lock screen and notification menu. According to 9to5Google, **Spotify** appears to have updated its [Android app](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/94774/how-much-coding-is-needed-to-make-an-android-app-using-android-studio) to version 8.7.92.521, adding support for the new media player.\
Through a previously disclosed beta update, Spotify first made the Android 13 media player [compatibility](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/story/1513/7-zodiac-signs-astrology-dates-meanings-amp-compatibility) available to users. Spotify version 8.7.92.521, which is available from the Play Store, now has support for the media player in the stable channel. **The stop and play icons on the right of Android 13 smartphones are noticeably larger and easier to access than those on Android 12 devices.**

The next and previous track [navigation](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/62/different-navigation-in-asp-dot-net) buttons are located on either side of the seek bar, which is located at the bottom. On the new media player, there are also shuffle and heart buttons. **It's hardly unexpected that Google apps like YouTube Music, YouTube, Google Podcasts, Chrome, Recorder, and Play Books were the first to support the Android 13 media player.**

The most recent stable version of **Spotify** 8.7.92.115 for Android, which supports the newly built Android 13 media player, is now available for download from the Play Store to users of [eligible devices](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/94435/how-do-you-fix-an-app-that-says-no-eligible-devices) all around the world.
