In August of this year, Google announced the release of Android 13. This new iteration of Google's [operating system](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/229069/operating-system-development) includes a redesigned media player that is visible on the lock screen and notification menu. According to 9to5Google, **Spotify** appears to have updated its [Android app](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/94774/how-much-coding-is-needed-to-make-an-android-app-using-android-studio) to version 8.7.92.521, adding support for the new media player.\ Through a previously disclosed beta update, Spotify first made the Android 13 media player [compatibility](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/story/1513/7-zodiac-signs-astrology-dates-meanings-amp-compatibility) available to users.
