# Dell Adds Robotic Automation and Telemetry to the "Concept Luna" Project.

- Since last year, Concept Luna's laptop has undergone design changes.
- It may now be disassembled without a screwdriver.
- Robots can locate and fix these laptops with the use of telemetry data.

With the revelation that it will soon use sidewalk robots built in Miami, Florida, Uber is expanding its usage of autonomous delivery trucks.

The six-wheeled delivery robots will be manufactured by Cartken, an AI startup with offices in Oakland that was started by a group of former Google [engineers](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/12377/10-tips-to-pass-comptia-security-for-future-specialists-and-engineers) and is best known for placing its cars on college campuses.

With ambitions to extend into more marketplaces and urban regions of Miami-Dade County in 2023, the **robots will initially transport goods from a variety of [companies](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/85554/why-must-companies-have-a-profile-page-on-mindstick) in the Dadeland neighbourhood.** The robotics company Cartken claims that Uber's collaboration with Cartken is its 'first formal [relationship](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/80819/live-in-relationship-protecting-the-right-to-live-together) with a worldwide on-demand [delivery app](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/326263/top-web-designing-trends-to-consider-for-developing-delivery-app) beyond college campuses.'

**Robots** that deliver packages on the sidewalk are becoming a common sight on many college campuses and in certain towns and cities. There have been some significant instances of robots catching fire, being hit by cars, or becoming trapped in the snow.

The electric Cartken robots have a trunk that can hold nearly two dozen pounds of luggage and a variety of embedded cameras that may be used to spot obstructions and assist in guiding the robot to its intended location. Magna is the manufacturer of Cartken's **robots**. The robots can only move at a speed somewhat slower than walking, which is obviously slower than a delivery by a human on a bike or in a car, while having a delivery radius of several miles.

They can also climb curbs but not stairs, which may reduce client interest if they reside in multistory buildings. Uber is becoming more at ease utilising [autonomous vehicles](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/114480/how-are-autonomous-vehicles-changing-transportation-logistics-and-urban-mobility-worldwide) for delivery and ride-hailing services.

In addition to partnering with Motional and Serve Robotics on a robot delivery pilot across [Los Angeles](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/43811/how-can-i-apply-to-university-of-california-los-angeles-ucla), the company has a **10-year [agreement](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/88513/what-to-look-for-in-a-retainer-agreement-with-defence-lawyers-in-dubai) with Nuro to use its delivery trucks in California and Texas.** In [Las Vegas](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/43867/family-rv-parks-in-las-vegas-and-laughlin), Uber is also promoting Motional's robotaxis on its app for users who request rides.
