# After Elon Musk's takeover, Apple and Amazon have resumed their Twitter advertising.

- Amazon intends to start advertising again at a cost of around $100 million annually.
- Apple has threatened to remove Twitter from the app store, according to Musk.
- Staff members who are [responsible](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/94149/who-is-one-of-the-responsible-person-for-the-department-of-space-dos) for [content moderation](https://www.mindstick.com/news/3681/elon-musk-x-didn-t-comply-with-order-to-block-california-content-moderation) have been cut by Musk.

According to allegations in the media on Saturday, Amazon and Apple intend to start advertising on **Twitter** again. In an effort to revive its company after [Elon Musk](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/85512/elon-musk-mark-zuckerberg-two-business-tycoon-of-similar-age)'s takeover caused many businesses to draw back, Twitter on Thursday sent an email to [advertising agencies](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/300297/advertising-agencies-in-coimbatore) giving advertisers incentives to increase their spending on the site.\
According to the email examined by Reuters, Twitter described the offer as the 'largest advertiser incentive ever on Twitter.' The email stated that US advertisers that commit to **increased spending of $500,000 (approximately Rs. 4 crore) or more will be eligible to have their spending matched with a '100% value add' up to a $1 million (about Rs. 8 crore) ceiling.**

According to a Platformer [News](https://www.mindstick.com/developersection/news) reporter's tweet on Saturday, Amazon intends to restart its Twitter advertising at a cost of around $100 million (roughly Rs. 814 crore) annually, subject to some security adjustments to the company's ad network. However, a source with knowledge of the situation told Reuters that Amazon had never stopped running **Twitter** advertisements.

Separately, Musk revealed that Apple is the biggest advertiser on Twitter and has 'fully resumed' advertising on the service, according to a Bloomberg report. Musk made the announcement during a Twitter Spaces conversation. In a series of tweets last week, Twitter's new CEO claimed that Apple had halted advertising on the [social media](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13056/how-to-leverage-social-media-to-attract-lots-of-blog-traffic) network and threatened to ban the microblogging service from its app store without providing any justification.

The wealthy CEO of Twitter and Tesla claimed Apple was putting pressure on Twitter regarding [requirements](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12850/drivers-license-requirements) for content control. In his first month as Twitter's owner, Musk has cut back on staff, including those in charge of content moderation, and spammers have occasionally pretended to be from well-known public companies.

**Since the [acquisition](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2246/following-elon-musk-s-acquisition-gm-suspends-its-twitter-advertising), many businesses, including General Mills and luxury automaker Audi of America, have cancelled or suspended their Twitter advertising,** and Musk said in November that the company has experienced a 'huge' decline in revenue.
