# The launch of the Snapdragon 782G chip will replace the Snapdragon 778G+ platform.

- Up to 2.7GHz is the maximum clock speed of the Snapdragon 782G SoC.
- To process images, it has a triple 14-bit ISP.
- Premium midrange smartphones with the Snapdragon 782G SoC will be available.

Qualcomm on Wednesday revealed the [**Snapdragon**](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2371/micron-to-supply-fewer-memory-chips-in-2023-plans-fresh-capex-cuts) 782G SoC as a [replacement](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/11708/google-pixel-and-its-quick-screen-replacement) for the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC that was released last year. The chipset, which is made by **TSMC utilising 6nm [technology](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13005/the-functional-aspects-of-laser-technology), is aimed at the high-end mid-range market. It contains a Kryo 670 Prime CPU clocked at a maximum of 2.7GHz.**

It is currently uncertain which handsets will be equipped with the recently revealed Snapdragon 782G CPU, in contrast to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that Qualcomm recently unveiled. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC is created using the TSMC 6nm process and has a Kyro 670 Prime core with a maximum clock speed of 2.7GHz, three Kryo 670 Gold cores that are each clocked at 2.2GHz, and four Kryo 670 Silver cores that are each clocked at 1.9GHz.

The maker says that the Adreno 642L GPU it pairs with is up to 10% faster than the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset it replaces. **The Qualcomm Spectra 570L, a triple 14-bit [image processing](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/157840/what-are-some-common-image-processing-techniques-used-in-modern-computer-vision-applications) unit (ISP), is part of this chipset and enables gigapixel-speed photo capturing.**

Additionally, the chipset has a Qualcomm Snapdragon X53 5G modem-RF system [integrated](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/33532/handler-pagehandlerfactory-integrated-has-a-bad-module-managedpipelinehandler-in-its-module-list), which is said to allow download speeds of up to 3.7Gpbs [as well as](https://www.mindstick.com/interview/2481/can-you-write-a-java-class-that-could-be-used-both-as-an-applet-as-well-as-an-application) mmWave and sub-6GHz [5G connectivity](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/333338/5g-connectivity-in-laptops-seamless-internet-anywhere-anytime). It can accommodate external displays with up to 4K [resolution](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12502/looking-for-an-mba-degree-we-guide-you-with-the-perfect-resolution) and 60 frames per second.

The chipset has a [**Qualcomm**](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2363/the-first-state-to-get-a-chip-fab-could-be-karnataka) Spectra triple 14-bit ISP that can handle images from a single camera up to 200 megapixels. It has the capacity to capture 120 frames per second 4K videos. The chipset includes a Qualcomm Hexagon 770 Tensor Accelerator and 6th Gen Qualcomm AI Engine for improved AI performance.
