The Android version of TMTG's Truth Social app was authorised by Google Play on Wednesday. **Google** banned Truth Social last month, citing contraventions of the app store's rules that forbid apps from containing materials including **physical threats and calls for violence**. The internet behemoth has now been given guarantees that Truth Social will adhere to Google Play's content-moderation guidelines. According to a Google representative, 'Apps may be released on **Google** Play if they meet with our developer [requirements](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12850/drivers-license-requirements), which include the necessity to successfully monitor user-[generated content](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/158461/how-can-you-implement-cache-control-for-dynamically-generated-content) and delete undesirable messages like those that promote violence.' Shares of [Digital World](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/99230/how-digital-world-washed-out-gender-discrimination-from-society) Acquisition Corp., a SPAC that has planned to merge with **TMTG, increased as much as 27% in early trading on Thursday as a result of the announcement that Google Play** has approved Truth Social. After being banned from Twitter and other [popular social](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/40070/what-are-the-most-popular-social-media-networks-in-south-korea) media sites following the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, which was intended to overturn the results of the 2020 election, Trump established TMTG last year. **Following Trump's posting of a video endorsing the violent mob, the businesses warned of the danger of his encouraging more unrest.** Trump introduced Truth Social earlier this year. It was initially made available for Apple's iOS. **Truth Social apparently removed some users when they submitted content critical of Trump during the prior Jan. 6** congressional hearings, despite TMTG's insistence that the platform does not 'filter' user submissions. In a statement issued on Wednesday, Devin Nunes, the former Republican congressman who is now the CEO of TMTG, stated, '**It's been a pleasure working with Google, and we're delighted they helped us to finally deliver Truth Social to all Americans, regardless of what device they use.
