# Leaked Information about the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC talks about a Tri-Cluster Design

Earlier this year, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 [processor](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2830/qualcomm-s-snapdragon-8-gen-3-processor-might-arrive-earlier-than-expected) was introduced, and so far, it has appeared on a few devices. **The chip manufacturer is apparently now developing a CPU with the model number SM7475.** Although the chipset's place in the [**Snapdragon**](https://www.mindstick.com/news/546/snapdragon-480-soc-integrated-vivo-y52s-t1-version-launched) family is still unknown, based on leaked information, it is anticipated to be the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2.

The SM7475 could also be [referred to as](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/39930/at-the-turn-of-the-century-widespread-panic-occurred-that-at-midnight-all-computers-would-reset-to-zero-and-life-as-we-knew-it-would-cease-to-exist-what-was-this-doomsday-theory-commonly-referred-to-as) the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1, similar to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which is an enhanced version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. **According to rumours, the new CPU will include a tri-cluster [architecture](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/249193/top-5-reasons-to-pursue-architecture) with one prime, three gold, and four silver cores. The gold is considered to peak at a frequency of 2.4GHz, close to that of the prime core. At 1.8GHz, the silver core will operate.** This appears to be the identical as the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in every way.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC's hardware specifications are unknown. We can anticipate fresh core designs if it's the new chipset. **This entails Cortex A715 for Prime and Gold cores and A510 for Silver cores as opposed to A710 and A510 on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.**

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 might offer a slight performance boost but a significant [increase](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12959/are-you-struggling-to-increase-the-profit-of-your-liquor-store) in [efficiency](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13091/12-tips-to-boost-your-studying-efficiency). If these are the new cores, just a modest performance boost can be anticipated, but a significant increase in efficiency may be seen since the A715 is both 5 percent faster and 20 percent more effective than the A710. **Even the A510 core has undergone a minor modification that makes it 5% more [efficient](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/33637/three-tips-for-an-energy-efficient-home-for-2019) but not enough to warrant a new model number.**

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is anticipated to be revealed during [**Qualcomm's**](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2081/apple-loses-second-bid-to-challenge-qualcomm-patents-at-u-s-supreme-court) Snapdragon Summit, which [takes place](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/81718/pranab-mukherjee-death-how-last-rites-of-former-president-of-india-takes-place) the following month. As a result, we can anticipate [learning](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/126221/instructional-design-for-elearning-why-it-is-so-important) more at that time regarding the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2.
