# CCI is conducting another investigation into Google following claims of unfair revenue-sharing terms

Another thorough [investigation](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2149/twitter-claims-in-court-that-elon-musk-is-the-subject-of-government-investigations) into [**Google's**](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2091/new-ai-of-google-turns-words-into-3d-objects) suspected use of unfair revenue-sharing agreements with regard to [news](https://www.mindstick.com/developersection/news) material has been mandated by the Competition Commission.

**According to the Competition Commission of India, the case would be combined with two other ongoing lawsuits brought against the leading [search engine](https://www.mindstick.com/services/search-engine-optimization) (CCI).**

The most recent decision was made in response to a complaint made by the News Broadcasters & Digital Association. On the basis of a complaint made by the Digital News Publishers Association, CCI ordered a probe against [**Google**](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2064/google-says-shared-network-costs-is-10-year-old-idea-bad-for-consumers) in January of this year. Later, the Indian Newspaper Society also brought a lawsuit along similar lines, and it was combined with the first.

According to a Friday decision from the watchdog, the **regulator's investigation branch, the [Director General](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/62156/who-has-been-appointed-as-director-general-fire-services-civil-defence-and-home-guards) (DG), will now submit a report on a combined inquiry.**

The News Broadcasters & Digital Association said that its members were compelled to give Google their news content in order to give their web links higher priority on **Google's Search [Engine Result](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/85489/important-facts-about-search-engine-result-pages) Page (SERP).** As a result, the case claims that Google profiteers from the members' material without adequately compensating them.

According to allegations, **Google built services like [Google News](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1677/spain-re-opens-google-news-after-eight-years-of-shutdown), Google Discover, and Google [Accelerated Mobile Pages](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/11433/accelerated-mobile-pages) by taking advantage of users' reliance on the search engine it offers for [referral traffic](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/156142/what-is-referral-traffic) (AMP).**
