# Zoom's Easy Trick to Unmute has been Stolen by Google Meet

As [Google](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1766/google-was-fined-360-million-by-russia-over-youtube-videos-that-included-prohibited-content) carries out the needlessly [advanced](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12993/5-advanced-features-for-your-odoo-ecommerce-theme) method of mixing both the **Meet and Duo app**s, currently it’s throwing a feature which was copied from **Zoom** within the mix. In an update on the [Google workspace](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4183/india-overtakes-the-us-to-have-the-largest-google-workspace-users-worldwide) [blog](https://www.mindstick.com/developersection/blog), the company has declared that the **Google Meet** would provide an individual with the ability to unmute the themselves by holding down the spacebar and to mute themselves once more by releasing it.

If an individual would use the Zoom frequently, then this feature would possibly sound more like its push-to-talk feature and that would be because it would be the same thing. Clearly, Zoom did not revolutionize this feature but it had conventionally made it available throughout video [conferences](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/audio/1046/importance-of-international-conferences), that comes in handy whenever an individual need to disrupt throughout a meeting but did not require to unmuted for long. **Cisco’s Webex** contains a similar capability, whereas **[Microsoft](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12301/microsoft-is-trying-to-kill-passwords) Teams** permits you to unmute employing a **Ctrl + Spacebar shortcut**.

Google has mentioned that it would begin rolling out its own [version](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12845/things-to-remember-while-migrating-odoo-to-a-better-version) of the shortcut to all workspace users on **September 9th**, however it may take up to **15 days** for an individual to examine it.
