Just like the **Windows** laptop that had arrived before it, the **Chromebook Vero 514** has been made up by using recycled plastics, had a chassis which would be **99 percent recyclable** and comes in packaging which would be 90 percent recycled paper. Well, that’s not that impressive [as mentioned](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/38307/bring-out-the-significance-of-the-terms-sovereign-democratic-republic-as-mentioned-in-the-preamble) because **$1,200 [MacBook Air](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/110688/how-to-delete-instagram-account-on-macbook-air-safari-browser)** had **100 percent** recycled chassis, but it has been really great to see that Acer has been offering relatively granular details like **Apple**. It was difficult to find any numbers which would back up **Asus’** claims that its **Chromebook Flip CX5** has an “**eco-friendly design**” because of its “**recycled [materials](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/301857/how-materials-work-in-space-to-make-them-better-on-earth) built-in**.” Additionally, Acer claims that the [Chromebook](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1804/new-editing-and-productivity-tools-to-get-featured-on-chromebooks-by-august) was very easy to repair and upgrade, with customary screws which would let an individual to access the memory and storage. Whereas that has not been on the level of what **[Framework](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/34615/software-framework-vs-library)’s** doing with its fully fixable and upgradeable laptop, that computer would nearly be double the price. Well, the **base** **model 514** would come with the **Core i3, 8GB of RAM**, and a **128GB SSD**, starts at **$499.99**. The **514** has been running **ChromeOS** that would widely be considered to be less demanding than Windows which would facilitate the **514 stay out** of the landfill for longer that was nothing but absolutely good [news](https://www.mindstick.com/developersection/news) from an [environmental](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/52080/who-has-been-awarded-the-2019-goldman-environmental-prize) perspective.
