Bot and spam accounts on Twitter had become a [central issue](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/40572/what-was-the-central-issue-that-caused-conflict-over-whether-the-new-deal-was-a-good-idea-or-not) within the legal fight over whether Musk should complete his **$44 billion** [acquisition](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2246/following-elon-musk-s-acquisition-gm-suspends-its-twitter-advertising) of the [social media](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13056/how-to-leverage-social-media-to-attract-lots-of-blog-traffic) company.

According to the order which was by the **Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick of the Delaware Court of Chancery**, Twitter was ordered to gather, review, and produce documents from former **General Manager of Consumer Product Kayvon Beykpour**.

Beykpour, who had left Twitter once the social media company had agreed in **April** to be acquired by [Elon Musk](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1851/in-order-to-avoid-the-twitter-fire-sale-elon-musk-had-sold-tesla-shares-worth-6-9-billion), was being described in Musk's court filings because one of the [executives](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2317/elon-musk-issues-a-bankruptcy-warning-as-further-senior-twitter-executives-leave) '**most intimately involved with**' was determining the amount of spam accounts.

**McCormick** has mentioned in her order on **Monday** that she was denying Musk's request for access to **21** other people with the control over the [relevant information](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/105781/how-to-interpret-financial-news-and-filter-relevant-information-for-investing).

Last week, Musk's legal team had written to McCormick by asking her to order Twitter so that it would hand over employee names so that they would be questioned accordingly.

Earlier this month, Musk had accused Twitter of fraud for misrepresenting the number of real active [users on its platform](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/93290/does-mindstick-provide-the-facility-to-talk-or-message-with-other-users-on-its-platform), which Twitter had eventually denied. The company has accused him of breaching his [agreement](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/88513/what-to-look-for-in-a-retainer-agreement-with-defence-lawyers-in-dubai) in order to acquire the company and needed McCormick to order him to finish the deal at **$54.20 a share**.

On **Monday**, Twitter's stock got closed up on **0.5 percent** at **$44.50** per share.
