# The Investigations on the Death of Amazon Workers in New Jersey took place by US Regulators

Federal work-safety investigators have been looking into the death of an **Amazon** employee and an injury that would potentially led to the death of another worker by adding to a probe already underway following a third fatality at the time of the company's annual **Prime Day** shopping event in **mid-July**. Last month itself, all the three [Amazon](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1789/amazon-is-grapping-the-roots-of-healthcare-by-buying-clinic-operator-one-medical) employees were died and were employed at company facilities in **New Jersey**.

The new **Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA)** investigations were placing fresh scrutiny on Amazon's injury rates and [workplace](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/126352/how-video-games-are-changing-the-workplace)-safety procedures, that had long been criticized by labor and safety advocates as inadequate.

**Department of Labor** spokesperson **Denisha Braxton** has confirmed on **Thursday** that last week the most-recent fatality [took place](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/36919/which-is-the-unheard-indian-battle-that-took-place-in-history) at an Amazon facility in **Monroe Township** division, which would be around **20 miles** (35 kilometers) northeast of **Trenton**. The second probe has been looking into a **July 24** accident at an Amazon facility in **Robbinsville**. The employee who got involved in that accident were died three days later.

In a statement, Robbinsville police chief **Micheal Polaski** has mentioned that the police had responded on the warehouse, which was [referred to as](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/39930/at-the-turn-of-the-century-widespread-panic-occurred-that-at-midnight-all-computers-would-reset-to-zero-and-life-as-we-knew-it-would-cease-to-exist-what-was-this-doomsday-theory-commonly-referred-to-as) **PNE5**, on **24th July** when a report was received that an employee fell from a **three-foot** (one-meter) ladder and had struck his head into it.

OSHA officials have declined to provide extra information regarding any of the deaths, citing towards the open investigations. The agency has [six months](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/11970/how-to-become-a-successful-blockchain-developer-in-just-six-months) to finish every probe.

A Amazon's spokesperson has mentioned that the company's internal [investigation](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2149/twitter-claims-in-court-that-elon-musk-is-the-subject-of-government-investigations) into the **Carteret** death has portrayed it “**was not a work-related incident, and instead was associated with a personnel [medical condition](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/36444/what-s-the-weirdest-medical-condition-you-ve-ever-heard-of)**.”

The spokesperson has added that “**OSHA has been presently investigating the incident, and, based upon the proof presently obtainable to us, we would tend to absolutely expect that it would reach a similar conclusion**.”

Therefore, the [news](https://www.mindstick.com/developersection/news) of the deaths comes amid broader scrutiny into the company's operations. During the late **July**, the OSHA officials had inspected Amazon facilities in **New York**, **Illinois** and **Florida State** after receiving referrals alleging health and safety violations from the **US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York**.
