The recall, that Toyota issued not even [two months](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/36894/can-i-live-off-of-5k-usd-in-thailand-for-two-months) once the bZ4X’s release, involves [loose hub bolts](https://www.mindstick.com/news/715/loosen-bolts-6-000-tesla-vehicles-in-us-recalled) on the wheel that would lead it to detach during the time of [driving](https://www.mindstick.com/news/569/sensors-that-can-detect-your-vehicles-from-500m-aeva-the-driving-startup). ``` HIGHLIGHTS Toyota had suggested bZ4X owners not to drive the vehicle The company would provide customers with a free loaner car in return The bZ4X has been marked as the Toyota’s first attempt at an all-electric vehicle ``` Initially, [Toyota](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1471/toyota-will-suspends-its-operations-at-russia-plant-amid-russia-and-ukraine-crisis) had suggested bZ4X owners not to drive the vehicle, and recommended that they would notify their local Toyota dealer so that they would be able to pick up and store the car while they would wait on a fix. If an owner has been found unsatisfied with the options, however, Toyota had mentioned that it would buy back the **$42,000** and up vehicle. According to Toyota, “**We have the knowledge about our customers that they have several choices once it comes to purchasing a vehicle. We have been appreciating their loyalty and would be supporting them through this recall**.” Toyota added that the buyback depends on the owner’s state and circumstances “**However, if a customer doesn't wish to proceed with the provided choices, we would offer to repurchase their bZ4X**.” Neither its letter nor its statement has provided any further context about when the problem would be fixed. The recall had affected about **2,700 vehicles** but it’s completely unclear about how many have really been actually delivered. The **Subaru Solterra**, which was built on the same platform, it has been affected by the recall too. The bZ4X has been marked as the Toyota’s first attempt at an [all-electric vehicle](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1799/audi-to-focus-on-electric-vehicles-and-discontinue-ice-vehicles-by-2033), and it’s off to little of a bumpy beginning. Hopefully, Toyota would iron out any remaining kinks before it would begin delivering more vehicles and ramping up [production](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/story/1489/the-countries-that-dominate-world-fossil-fuel-production) to fulfill its **$17 billion** goal of releasing **30** new EVsby **2030**.
