# BGMI got Banned in India: Is it Still Available to Play

**Google** and **[Apple](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1769/apple-is-on-its-way-to-slow-down-the-hiring-process-in-2023)** had dropped the [popular game](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/story/3950/why-cricket-the-most-popular-game-in-india) **Battleground Mobile India (BGMI)** from their app stores yesterday. [Google](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1798/google-is-ready-to-give-the-access-of-the-smart-home-video-to-the-police) had already confirmed that the move has been taken as a part of government order.

As per the order, the game has been taken off from the **[Google Play Store](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1810/on-10th-anniversary-google-play-store-released-its-new-logo-for-the-app-store)** and **[Apple App Store](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1350/apple-google-needs-better-compliance-plans-on-app-store-says-south-korean-law-regulatory)** listing and it has been no longer available for download. However, it would also raise some other queries as well. For example, when **PUBG Mobile** or **Garena Free Fire** were prohibited, the games server had also went down rendering people who were unable to play the game even though they had installed the games on their smartphone.
