Well, the problem over phony reviews was never a new for Amazon, or e-commerce as a whole. Previously, [Amazon](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1691/amazon-develops-a-writing-tool-for-the-developers) itself has sued individuals it has mentioned that they were offering fake testimonials. In the statement, Amazon has mentioned one of the Facebook groups whom they were targeting is known as **Amazon [Product Review](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/86055/apple-watch-series-9-product-review)** which had over 43,000 members. The company has mentioned that the [Facebook](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1755/facebook-would-soon-allow-up-to-five-profiles-within-one-account) has removed the group this year however it would be able to dodge the platform's detection by changing letters in phrases that may set off Facebook's alarms. Since 2020 Amazon had noted that it had reported over 10,000 fake review groups to [Meta, the parent company of Facebook](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1775/meta-is-suing-facebook-s-parent-company-meta). As per Amazon, Meta has removed half of these groups and would be investigating about the others. Notably, the expert investigators of Amazon have used the state-of-the-art equipment in order to identify and remove the [fraud](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1724/a-warning-by-microsoft-for-android-users-about-the-billing-fraud-malware) reviews. As a result, the e-commerce company has claimed to have stopped over 200 million suspected fraudulent reviews in 2020 alone.
